Does anyone know where to pick up some cork locally that I can use for basing? I am not patient at the moment and want it now apposed to ordering it over the internet.

I bought the stuff I use from Michael's Crafts.  Not anything thick just some boards, if I need to make them thicker I just stack em.

Hobby lobby usually has some as well.  Walmart sometimes has packs of flat round cork in the kitchen section to put hot plates on etc.

Yup. I got mine from Hobby Lobby. But I got the thicker stuff, with much bigger chunks. The thin stuff just doesn't look like rocks to me.
